Am a hr generalist with more than three years as a human resource officer in a consultants firm, am adept in areas of recruitment and selection process which entailed sourcing for talents, conducting interviews, conducting background checks and completing the onboarding process. Training and development of staff moreso in areas of safety training, skills training, quality training and technical training. This afforded me the well-rounded skill set including communication skills, mentoring skills, teamwork and conflict resolution.
Additionally I was involved in managing the employees perfomance through conducting perfomance appraisals, providing direction in the flow of work, clarifying objectives, and regular checking of processes. Besides I conducted HR audits regularly to ensure the HR policies like leave policy, non-discrimination policy and compensation policy are compliant with the law. This also included ensuring statutory deductions are remitted in time to avoid penalties such pay as you earn (PAYE), NHIF, NSSF as the most basic statutory deductions in Kenya.
In addition to experience and personal qualities I possess a solid educational foundation in human resource management and more so in various human resource management functions such as human resource planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, management of human resource perfomance, compensation management, labour relations and Kenya labour laws.
Am a hr specialist with over 3 years of progressive experience as a hr officer in a consultants firm (Horn Africa Consultants Firm) from 2017-2020 and over 6 years as a lecturer in tertially institutions notably Zetech university, Nibs technical college and Nakuru college of health science and management.
I hold a bachelor of business and management degree and I specialised in human resource management (Egerton university)
