a) Finance and operational accountant at Anthopi Mechanical Engineering Services Ltd

Duties undertaken include but not limited to;
- Filing of PAYE, VAT, NHIF, NSSF and other statutory returns.
- Preparing payment vouchers and making payments due to creditors after reviewing and verifying the necessary documentation.
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
- Preparing staff payroll and payment of staff's salaries.
- Applying for and monitoring payments due to the company through the IFMIS supplier portal.
- Reconciliation of suppliers and debtors.
- Collection, monitoring and recording the daily financial transactions of the company.
- Managing the company’s petty cash account.
- Preparation and calculation of monthly estimates after collecting and analyzing the company’s data.
- Monitoring and resolving accounting discrepancies.
- Updating internal systems with financial data using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
- Assisting with the procurement of materials for various ongoing projects.
- Preparation and documentation of tenders for sub-contractors.
- Bidding for new jobs through filling Bills of Quantities and compiling tender documents and then uploading them to the IFMIS Supplier Portal.
- Managing and training Junior staff i.e., Interns and attachés b) Finance officer attaché at the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and urban development -
State Department for Transport
From September 2018- January 2019.
Duties undertaken include but not limited to;
- Assisting in the calculation and allocation of funds for all the sub items in the ministerial budget under the guidance and supervision of senior staff
- Assisting with the analysis of the breakdown of budgetary requirements for the ministry and the Semi-
Autonomous Government Agencies.
- Assisting in the preparation of cash flow projections under the guidance of qualified staff.
- Preparing, analyzing and summarizing budgets for training purposes.
