Daniela Baldacchino Pulo

I have been working as a Social Worker on a full-time basis with the Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS) since July 2014. I initially started working as a Social Worker at Child Protection Services and was eventually promoted to a Coordinator within the same said service in November 2017. While I felt that I was doing well within such role, a personal circumstances led me to request a transfer as I feared that at that point in time continuing to work at Child Protection Service could have a negative impact on my personal well-being as well as the work with the vulnerable minors who were abused or at risk of being so.

As from November 2018 I started working at the Cottonera Community Services and in January 2020 I was promoted to a Coordinator at Benniena Service, a social work services within Mater Dei Hospital. In June 2021 I was again promoted as a coordinator at Child Protection Services and in September 2023 I was promoted as a leader within one of the community residences of FSWS.

In November 2021 I completed an Msc post-graduate course in Management and Human Resources. This course has led me to gain further knowledge when it comes to working with and leading individuals with the aim of bringing the best in every human being whilst resolving any personal or/and team difficulties that might be hindering job performance. This knowledge as well as first hand experience working within the mentioned above services has given me extensive experience to develop skills and gain further wisdom both when working with clients as well as workers.

This enhanced my competence to work in a fast-paced environment, as well as working effectively and efficiently with clients, workers and other professionals. During this time, I have always demonstrated that I am capable of dealing with diverse situations as they arise, prioritise as needed and work well within a team with the aim of working effectively and efficiently.
