Molex de Mexico. Project Engineer NPI (High Performance Cable). 2016-2020

During product development process, identify limitations of the proposed design and suggest improvements to meet Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and inspection guidelines to successfully launch new products.  Work with respective Manufacturing Integration Engineers to ensure successful transfer of all tooling processes and equipment to NPI and manufacturing plants. Debug new products processes and validate product performance meeting customer needs in order to deliver quality, and performance products.  Identify and lead any prototype work required in early design stage to verify use of new technology or concepts in product or process design to reduce risk and improve profitability.  Develop manufacturing strategies for new products and drive the tooling development process to meet customers’ expectations of quality and optimal cost and lead-time to arrive at optimal solutions.  Execute manufacturing strategies to support all phases of product development process (prototype thru high volume production). Work with Design, Mold, and Automation Teams in selecting and managing internal and external suppliers to ensure successful project completion through concept, design, build, debug, and qualification.

• Analyze and implement cost saving projects to prevent failure recurrences, material waste, and minimize the waste of materials and resources.
