I am currently pursuing a MEng Chemical Engineering degree at Imperial College London. As an ambitious and hardworking individual, I look forward to an opportunity to learn from your esteemed company and contribute towards its greater goals and objective.
In an attempt to grasp a better understanding of the chemical engineering industry, I pursued work experience at various companies.
Before I continued my A-Level studies, I shadowed the research and analysis team at Core Laboratories for a week in 2019 where I used centrifugation techniques to determine oil concentrations in client samples, which subsequently led to further exploration of an oil site in Sabah. By the end of the week, I was intrigued by the field and decided to join a seminar hosted by Petronas discussing the use of seismic waves for oil and gas explorations in which my company attended.
During college, I heavily invested time into applying for work experience around the UK. I was fortunate enough to receive an opportunity to partake in a one-week program hosted by Jaguar Land Rover. There, I was assigned to the body department where we worked together to research ideas for more efficient and lower-emitting future prototypes, in which I presented my findings to my department's managers.
We were also able to apply our skills practically by overshadowing employees to redesign the exterior body of current models to improve its overall efficiency.
As I am now in university, I am currently working part-time at a Japanese restaurant on campus. My roles include engaging with customers and ensuring safe food preparations on a daily basis. My thorough understanding of the restaurant has assisted me in being dependable and more efficient.
I achieved 9 A* 1A in IGCSE's, 4 A* in A-Levels and First Class Honours in my first year of University which demonstrates my academic skills.
