Jin Yang Lim

I am a fresh graduate from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), with Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (specialized in Industrial Engineering). As an Industrial Engineering student, I am familiar with Lean Six Sigma Principles and IE tools. I have attended several IE courses which are related to this position such as Production Planning & Control, Industrial System Simulation, Operations Research, etc.

I have conducted my FYP on facility layout design, with the objective of redesigning the existing facility layout with the layout alternatives to reduce bypassing and backtracking distance. I have built the simulation models using LANNER WITNESS to validate the performance of the layout alternatives. For my FYP, I am participating in the 12th International Conference on Engineering Business Management (ICEBM 2023).

In terms of relevant work experience, I have 7 months of work experience as an office clerk of the logistics department. My daily tasks were issuing Delivery Order (DO), assisting the shipping executive with daily delivery arrangements, and assisting the inventory executive with daily stocktaking to ensure that the actual quantity in the warehouse is tally with the SAP system. Besides that, I completed my internship at STMicroelectronics Sdn. Bhd.

As an Industrial Engineering student, I have attended several IE courses such as Industrial System Simulation, Production Planning & Control, Operations Research, Work Design, Facility Design, Quality Engineering, Safety & Engineering Management, etc.
