Hashim Ogunbiyi is an experienced agriculture graduate and a dedicated advocate for climate action and sustainable development. Throughout his academic and professional journey, Hashim has been deeply involved in initiatives that promote environmental resilience and climate solutions.
He is a fellow of the Zero Carbon Africa Impact Programme, a platform dedicated to raising leaders who champion climate action projects across Africa. In addition, he is also a fellow of the Building Resilience Against Climate and Environmental Shocks (BRACE) program under African Food Changemakers. This initiative aims to support African agribusiness entrepreneurs in understanding the impacts of climate change on their businesses and developing strategies to adapt and mitigate those effects.
Hashim is also a member of YOUNGO, the official youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). In this role, he actively contributes to global youth-led climate advocacy, focusing on amplifying the voices of young Africans in the fight against climate change. Through various workshops and community engagement activities, Hashim continues to build capacity and foster resilience against environmental shocks in his community. He won several scholarships but not limited to DR MAS Scholars Foundation (2023), Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship (2019), Jokodolu Foundation scholarship and others
