Othaniel Kighir

Mr. Kighir Othaniel Orkuma is a humanitarian and Development Management Professional with 15 years experiences with 8 years at projects and Operations management with International Non Governmental Organisations. Othaniel earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology at Benue State University of Makurdi, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, a Master’s’ of Science Degree in Sociology from the Benue State University, Makurdi, and Master in Development Studies(MDS) from Federal University, Dutse. Othaniel’s experience includes serving as WASH Officer, OVC Coordinator, Malaria and Nutrition Officer, Advocacy and Communication Officer, Field Manager, a Protection Manager of a multi-year programme aimed at building the capacity of community based justice systems in Borno. Currently a Field Manager overseen multimillion Nutrition and Social Protection projects. He has experience in building and coordinating partnerships between government bodies and civil society and the oversight, implementation and monitoring of social protection and Nutrition programmes; He has proven capacity building, group facilitation and leadership skills including managing, nurturing and motivating teams to achieve set objectives. Othaniel has experience in donor relations and has supported a number of Community Based Organizations in accessing training and funding from donor organizations. He presently serve as a Field Manager for Action Against Hunger,(Dutse/Kano), Nigeria.
