Hi there! I am Daniel and I’m a Portuguese graduate in Tourism Management, and post-graduate in Marketing and Tourism Promotion. Currently I’m F&B Outlets Manager, in charge of the Banqueting & Breakfast department at Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam, a hotel with 490 guest rooms and 11 meeting rooms, which have the possibility of receiving 900 attendees in one meeting room.
I assumed the department first as a supervisor, without any Manager, which allowed me to really develop my management style, but also getting to be resourceful without a structure. It was super challenging, but I am very satisfied with the outcome so far. I am very communicative and organized and thorough in my approach to work and like to ensure that I get my jobs done in a timely manner and remain calm under pressure.
I am also a friendly person and work well in a team environment. The practice of sports for 12 years, namely football allowed me to acquire some skills such as resilience, leadership, team spirit and teamwork. My international experience started when I worked in the Crete Island, Greece.
I am applying for this position since I feel it could improve my development and my learning journey. I would like to have a different environment and with my accumulated knowledge in my previous experiences, I also believe I can be a nice fit. I am very familiar with big operations, due to my current position and hotel, and I am confident I could also implement good standards and practices at yours.
