Joep Elferink

My name is Joep Elferink. I am a student at Creative Media & Game Technologies Saxion Applied Sciences.

Back when I was a very young kid I got my first Gameboy which hooked me to videogames for life. Now, 20 years later, I am hard at work to become one of the best game designers. I love creating all kinds of games and dive into new mechanics that I have never used previously to widen my skillset.

Since 2013 I have been a volunteer referee for Sportlust Glanerbrug. From 2018 onwards I also become Coordinator Of Volunteers and Referees Glanerbrug ensuring that people of all ages can play the football matches they deserve to play.

In 2019 I also started volunteering yearly for Stichting J-Pop which promote Japanese Pop culture in the Netherlands. I help them by volunteering in their game-room during AnimeCon NL ever year.

Over the course of a weekend I:

• Participate in the planning of the Game Room for Anime Con (15.000+ visitors in the Rotterdam Ahoy 2019)
• Helped with setting up and dismantling the exhibition
• Assisted visitors with directions and other questions
• Ensure every console, pc or anything technical keeps running throughout the convention weekend.

• 6 month internship at GalaxyGames in Utrecht

Currently a fourth year student at Saxion Enschede studying Creative Media & Game Technologies
