Hi! My name is Einar. I’m from Norway and currently studying two degrees while working in Trondheim. I have a strong passion for embedded and digital system design, specifically computer architecture, and I spend most of my time either learning new things or spending time with friends and family. If I had to describe myself in three words, they would be curious, analytical and kind.

GPU PPA (Power, Performance and Area) Engineer at ARM (2026-06 – Present)

PPA Engineer working on GPU design. First full-time intern then 40% part time. Develop architectural microbenchmarks to investigate GPU behaviour and PPA bottlenecks. Most of my preparation for creating the uBMs centres around studying GPU architecture.

Helped develop a data logging system designed to scale from 100 to many thousands of sensors as it replaced older systems out in the field.

Main responsibilities included overseeing the full project pipeline, from material procurement and manufacturing to assembly and implementation. This was full-time.

Trade Certificate in Sheet Metal Working. Worked with planning and carrying out typical sheet metal fabrication tasks, like welding, machining, fabrication and assembly of components for offshore installations such as oil platforms, jackets, fish-farming structures and wind turbines. Sorted and distributed packages. Worked on-call, average equivalent of 40%.

Took a trade certificate in sheet metal working while studying in high school. Worked 40% first 3 years and 60% the fourth year.
