Anthony Palo was born in Antipolo City in 1984 and grew up drawing pictures from cartoons and comic books. He enrolled at the University of the Philippines, College of Fine Arts, where he majored in painting and developed interest in classical painters of the baroque and renaissance periods. His artwork merges his love for comics and cartoon imagery with classical painting influence, producing narratives evoking children's imaginative play.
He had his first solo exhibition of his paintings in 2009.
