Assistant Store Manager at Walmart – East Coast (1994 – 2001)
I started working as an overnight stocker. I was promoted to assembler building displays and carpentry wok. Then to Assistant Manager in charge of meat and fresh areas. Running staff of up to 50 making sure budgets and p&l where met scheduling to store sales.
Also making sure all sale items set and ordering to store needs and all inventory levels in line with sales. This was a very satisfying role, Working and training meat managers to company specs,meat yields,quality. I was also a Troubleshooter and went to stores not performing and retrained staff to the company's standard practise.
Checking all systems were in place to maximize profit by achieving shrink also making sure all Hiring, scheduling, Profit and Loss. Budgets, ordering, training, Health and Safety, and Price Integrity. I also opened 3 supercentres training all managers for fresh areas.
I also did or the maintenance for Walmart and ran my own business doing landscaping and carpentry which included deck building, painting, plumbing, house extension.
Inventory Control Specialist – Head of Replenishment at Sear Robuck (1989 – 1994)
A stores running a team off up to 20 staff. In charge of stock levels O/H counts; ordering Profit and Loss, overhead costs, point of sales, scheduling and training employees. Making sure all sales advertised items were out and priced correctly. Schedule based on budgeted hours. Checking that sales projections, recalls and customer complaints were all met and dealt with. Also in charge of all building of display stands and equipment.

I ran a 700 seat restaurant in charge of all kitchen staff and menus.
Middle Management at A.E. Becketts Farm Wythall (1981 – 1989)
Ran a poultry farm egg production also worked in packing plant doing machine maintenance and building displays for retail shops; delivery, warehouse and sales. Promoted to catering division in charge of training meat cutters in portion control, sales, buying meat, customer service and accounts. I trained as a meat cutter at Beckets in their farm shop but did most of my training at Home Stern Farm UK in Yorkshire.
I have trained in all aspects of meat from the markets, slaughter house, cutting (portion control) and sales.
