I have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I have 17 years work experience as a Boiler Engineer. I worked in several Power Generation consultancy companies such as Alstom Power Ltd, UK, TPSC (Toshiba), Japan, IHI Corporation, Japan, Daelim Industrial Co., South Korea, Boustead Maxitherm Energy, Indonesia, and Babcock -Hitachi Philippines.

My work experiences are mainly in design works, project coordination, and project management. I worked in different stages of the power boiler and power plant projects such as basic and detail design, proposal, fabrication, erection, technical and engineering coordination.

My basic design (thermal performance) and detailed design (pressure parts) experience includes:

• Pulverized Coal Fired and co-firing of biomass Utility Boilers
• Fuel Oil Fired Utility Boilers
• Natural Gas Fired Utility Boilers
• HRSG
• Bagasse Boilers
• Stoker Boilers (biomass, bagasse, palm oil and coal fired fuel)
• Oil and Gas Fired Industrial and bi-drum package Boilers

Responsibilities as Boiler Engineer:

• Performed boiler thermal performance calculations (thermodynamics and heat transfer), boiler modelling of boiler pressure parts.
• Performed basic design engineering, combustion and boiler efficiency calculations to code (e.g. ASME PTC 4, BS), process engineering.
• Analyzed boiler technical conditions and other design assumptions and calculated predicted performance and guarantee values.
• Performed pressure parts strength calculations (stress analysis).
• Prepared boiler technical specifications for proposal documentation.
• Prepared technical specifications of BOP and sizing of auxiliary equipment, e.g. Primary & Secondary Air Fan, Induced Draft Fan, Boiler Feed Pump, Oil Pump etc.
• Prepared BOM, material specifications, datasheets, drawings (P&ID, PFD, heat and mass balance diagrams), RFQ, reports, and other related documents, operation philosophy of boiler, mechanical equipment list, valve list, vendor’s auxiliary equipment technical bid evaluation.
• Prepared technical clarifications and comments on Client’s Invitation to Bid (ITB).
• Participated in internal and external meetings; conducted technical presentations, coordinated and supported other group discipline, delegated works to junior engineers, mentored other engineers, plant visit and inspections.
• Familiar with in-house boiler thermal performance simulation programs and commercially available FireCAD.

I am proficient in Boiler basic and detailed design engineering, Boiler thermal performance simulation programs and MS Office. I am fluent in English both in speaking and writing. I am proactive, result oriented, flexible and efficient.
