I am a competent Civil Engineer possessing overall 26 years’ experience in Civil Engineering including 15+ year’s specific experience in Contract Management of Building & Infrastructure Projects. This includes overseeing & managing the bidding and management processes for a construction project by managing bids, negotiating rates, drafting & administering contracts and maintaining records.

I am well experienced in handling post-Award contractual matters like EoTs, Variations, Price Adjustments, Punch Lists, As-Builts and DLP Closeout etc. I am well versed with PEC & FIDIC based Contracts for small to large scale Projects and I am competent in Procurements based on PPRA, SPPRA, and ADB policies and guidelines.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities

> Draft, negotiate, execute, and manage contracts and agreements in conjunction with internal teams (Procurement, Legal, Senior Management team etc.);

>Develop and execute strategies, policies, and tools to improve contract management of goods and services, and implement performance measures against industry benchmarks

>Liaise with successful bidders for obtaining necessary guarantees and insurances where necessary and coordinate for contract signing and issuance of notice to proceed.

>Contract administration including conducting contract management meetings, evaluating and resolving contractor’s claims, contractual disputes, variations by contractors, and recommending remedial measures and advising on available options (diligence notice, cancellation of contract, arbitration etc.);

>Liaise with Procurement Team for preparing tender and contract specifications, tender processes including analyzing proposals and provide contract review expertise;

>Manage and maintain record of all contracts, management reports and other relevant information on an accurate and timely basis;

>Coordinate with internal business partners to gather requirements associated with a contract request;

>Assess contractor’s performance, monitor contractor activity to assure compliance, and identify the need for amendments of existing contracts;

I have done my bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. Civil) from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology Jamshoro in 1997 with First Division and obtained 82% of Marks.
