I am a Mechanical Engineer with diploma in Business Management. I started my carrier with Packaged Ltd., Lahore in 1994. I was heading Flexible Packaging Unit. In 2003, I went on deputation to Packages Lanka, Srilanka as Factory Manager to turn around the Plant. It is now the leading Flexible Packaging Unit.
In 2006, I Joined Saima Packaging, Karachi as Operations Manager to put up a green filed project of Flexible Packaging, it is now one of the leading units of Pakistan.
In 2009, I joined Manama Packaging Industry, Bahrain as Factory Manager. It was a small unit of 450 tons and during my stay of 11 years, its production increased to more than 1400 tons with all certifications. Now it is exporting to more than 25 countries.
In 2020, I joined Packtech, Lahore as Chief Operating Officer to improve the struggling unit. Now it is doing more than 1000 tons.
In 2023, I joined DAL Group, Sudan as Head of Manufacturing - Flexible Packaging. I am looking after 5 Plants. Due to was in Sudan, I am looking for an opportunity.
I am a Mechanical Engineer with a Diploma in Business Management and have more than 29 years of experience in the Packaging Industry. I started my career with Packages Ltd., Lahore, Pakistan in 1994. I was a part of the development of their first 5-layer Blown film co-extrusion line (the first co-extrusion line in Pakistan) in 1995.
I worked at many levels of Production and became Production Manager of their Flexible Packaging unit in 1998. From 1999 to 2001, Packages sent me to Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) to complete my Executive MBA degree.
In 2003, I went on deputation to Packages Lanka, Sri Lanka, to run the plant as a Factory Manager. I turned the plant around to positive figures, and production was more than doubled during my period there. Now, it is the largest flexible packaging plant in Sri Lanka.
In 2006, I got a chance to do the green field project of setting up a Flexible Packaging Unit for Saima Packaging, Karachi, which is currently one of the few leading units in Pakistan.
In 2009, I got a chance to upgrade a Flexible Packaging unit at Manama Packaging Industry, Bahrain, as Factory Manager. It was a small plant with a capacity of 450 tons, and there was no big customer base. Now, it is doing more than 1400 tons with export to more than 30 countries with all necessary certifications like BRC Issue 5, ISO 22000:2005 with HACCP, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 18001:2007 and PS 9000, which are required by all Multinational companies.
I performed many cost-reduction exercises to sell our products in this most competitive and price-sensitive market. Many unique developments were also done per customer requirements, increasing our product base. I handled many customers' accounts directly, like Mondelez, Reckitt and Benckiser, etc.
In 2020, I joined Packtech (Pvt) Limited as COO to turn around the struggling unit into a profitable one. The BOPP line was upgraded. After implementing many strategic plans, we were able to increase our customer base, reduce wastage by 10%, which significantly reduced costs, and we were able to increase our production by more than two times in the span of less than three years by upgrading the current machinery and making the operations more efficient.
Recently, I joined DAL Group, Sudan, as Head of Manufacturing. It’s a very big group in Sudan. I was looking after five of their plants, but unfortunately, due to the war that started in Sudan, I am looking to switch my job.
