• Define and drive the Demand Planning & S&OP strategy aligned with overall business objectives
• Lead the transition from traditional planning to Integrated Business Planning framework
• Act as a key link between commercial strategy and operational execution
• Provide strategic inputs to leadership on market trends, risks, and growth opportunities
• Own the end-to-end demand forecasting process (short, mid, and long term)
• Implement demand sensing techniques
• Analyze historical data, seasonality, and customer trends to improve forecast reliability
• Lead initiatives to improve forecast accuracy (FA), bias reduction, and demand stability
• Develop scenario planning & what-if analysis for demand fluctuations
• Align demand plans with production capacity, machine loading, and resource availability
• Lead decision-making on capacity allocation, prioritization, and order acceptance/refusal
• Identify capacity gaps and recommend outsourcing, expansion, or efficiency improvements
• Ensure optimal capacity utilization across all business units
• Lead and institutionalize the monthly S&OP cycle, ensuring cross-functional alignment
• Drive key forums as Secretary/Core Lead: Weekly Planning Process (WPP), Demand Review Meetings (DRM), Sales Review Meetings (SRM), Executive S&OP / CXO reviews
• Ensure structured decision-making with clear action tracking and accountability
• Align demand, supply, and financial plans into a single consensus plan
• Drive strong collaboration between Sales & Commercial Teams, Strategic Planning (SP), Operations & Production, Supply Chain & Logistics, and Finance
• Resolve demand-supply conflicts and ensure business continuity
• Influence stakeholders to balance customer priorities vs operational feasibility
• Oversee order booking, allocation, and fulfillment planning
• Minimize order refusals, pushouts, and last-minute changes
• Improve customer service levels (OTIF – On Time In Full)
• Ensure proactive communication of risks and delays to stakeholders
• Lead annual operating plan (AOP), budget planning, and sales forecasting cycles
• Align demand plans with financial targets (revenue, margin, cost)
• Develop capacity expansion and investment proposals with Finance
• Evaluate business cases for new customers, product lines, and market expansion
• Define and monitor key KPIs: Forecast Accuracy & Bias, Capacity Utilization, Order Fulfillment Rate, OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), Inventory Health
• Drive accountability across teams to achieve performance targets
• Lead implementation and optimization of planning systems (e.g., FastReact, SAP, ERP)
• Drive adoption of data analytics, dashboards, and automation tools (Power BI, Excel models)
• Improve data visibility and real-time decision-making capabilities
• Identify risks related to demand volatility, capacity constraints, and supply chain disruptions
• Develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies
• Lead crisis planning (e.g., demand drop, order cancellations, raw material shortages)
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Demand Planning team
• Build a culture of data-driven decision-making and accountability
• Train teams on forecasting techniques, systems, and planning processes
• Actively participate and lead in Sales Conferences and Strategy Meetings
• Translate commercial pipeline into realistic demand and execution plans
• Support Sales in customer negotiations with capacity insights
