Sahrish Naqvi

I potentially demonstrated a strong record of achievements for a researcher relative to my career stage. I have published work based on my previous research and Ph.D. studies in vital international journals (see my Resume). My academic performance has been recognized through individual awards at all levels of my studies.

I have been involved as Co-PI on two externally funded research grants in Pakistan. I have done my Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics from the University of Genoa, Italy. However, my research interests are specified in computational mathematics.

I have also proved my commitment to working internationally by relocating from Pakistan to Italy to undertake my Ph.D. and from Italy to Portugal for a research fellowship (see section "Research projects participated in or hosted"). I also intend to improve the diversity within the field of applied Mathematics and computational sciences by recognizing the barriers faced by women and contributing toward building a community in this challenging field. I served as a lecturer for two years at COMSATS University Islamabad from 2015 to 2017.

I found this position very close to my interest therefor; I am applying for this opportunity.
