I am Portuguese-American and I have nineteen years of teaching experience as a drama teacher, cover teacher, learning through the arts teacher, English teacher, teaching assistant and support teacher of children with special needs. My current position is that of a year 6 Teaching Assistant at St. Julian's school in Carcavelos, Portugal, where I oversee three classes with a total of 60 children.
Due to my drama background I have also helped out in school assemblies and any other drama related activities and have my own out of school children's drama group called Space for Drama. I also organize the year 6 green team as climate change is very much a passion of mine. As much as I love working at St. Julian´s, due to its amazing working environment, I am looking to relocate to Mexico as my son is Mexican and I would like for him to connect with his roots.
It is my goal to continue to combine my versatile teaching experience with my natural ability with children and I am confident I could make a positive contribution to your community!
