Despre

It takes a village to raise a child, and just as much of one to keep an adult healthy.

This belief sits at the heart of my work in school counseling and non-formal education. Both fields are ultimately about prevention and learning, about creating spaces where children and teens feel safe enough to bloom, re-learn and explore, by having adults around them that model the right behavior.

Because I find so much meaning in working with children, adolescents and young adults, I become very passionate and ready to inspire the people around me. I bring a hardworking, curious mindset to everything I take on, with ideas constantly flowing, alongside coordination skills to turn them into action.

Experiență

For more that 10 years I have been involved in the NGO sector, starting as a volunteer, becoming a youthworker and coordinator, and eventually growing into the role of vice president as part of a founding team in my local community. Non-formal education took many forms for me, from local projects with children and sports, to international camps, to working in different cultures with disadvantaged communities. I started to understand more and more how much I need to learn and adapt in order to address the real needs of a community, whilst delivering qualitative work.

My academic background helped me navigate better the ins and outs of people and communities, and what mental wellbeing looks like in different parts of the world. While doing my Masters, I realized how much I would like to work with children as a school counselor. For this reason, my apprentice jobs in University have been in kindergartens and school, public and private.

What do these two paths have in common? Prevention and community. I strongly believe that I would be a great asset in any kindergarten, school or NGO that work with these two pillars.
