1. From Oct.2022 to date as Construction Manager- Al Jamaou General Contracting, Riyadh-Saudi Arabia

1. From June. 2020 to Sept.2022 as Sr.Design Engineer/Resident Engineer –Squire Mech Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. –Main Contractor for Design & Build Contract-Package III, Kandy City WasteWater Management Project, Sri Lanka (Project Value: nearly US$ 200 Million-Japan International Cooperation Agency-JICA Funded Project)

Managing the design team to prepare & submit the drawings/calculations for consultant/client’s approval to issue the information to the construction team as per the work plan. Checking the works that are being executed in accordance with the drawings and the technical specifications, supervising materials testing, materials approvals. Accordingly, submit as-built drawings for Consultant/client’s approval.

Checking measurement sheet and interim payment application (IPA) before submitting to Consultant. Subcontract management for different packages (checking their measurement sheet, variation & IPC), Checking the variations before submitting to consultant.

Supervising project documents and project schedules and ensure compliance to all health and safety policies. Checking and submitting weekly and monthly progress report to Consultant, monitoring and ensuring all activities of project are carried out as per contractor’s Work Program, Cash Flow and Contract Conditions & Specifications, and identify any errors or deviation from planned Work Program, accordingly submit revised work plan to meet the Contractual Construction Period of time. Work in closer with Project Manager, Project Director, Team leader/DTL and provide updates on progress and issues daily, weekly & monthly and building a healthy relationship between the parties, conducting coordination meeting with other packages’ Contractors, participating weekly/monthly progress meeting, monthly progress presentation and interim payment meeting.

Conducting coordination meeting with other packages’ Contractors, weekly progress meeting, monthly progress presentation. Organizing public awareness programme and participating grievances meeting to sort out the issues with relevant parties.

1. From January 2016 to March 2018 as Technical Engineer at Hill International, Doha Qatar- Rail Project-Green Line Underground Project, Doha- Qatar. 33.4 Km Tunnel (2x16.7), 6 Nos. Underground stations and one ground level station (Project Value: QR 9 Billion)

Managing site staff, including site engineers, site inspectors, HSE engineer and other staff, Monitor and record the contractor’s execution of the work and ensure the work is compliance with contract, comply with Hill International’s QA/QC procedures, Review and advise Resident engineer on the approval of contractor’s programme, methods statement and temporary structure design, Advising RE in negotiation of cost variation and time extension, certify measurement and payment, Approve and monitor contractor’s quality assurance and control and approve material submissions etc

1. From July 2015 to January 2016 as Engineer-Projects, Private Consultancy Practices with Eng. K. Ajantha Janaka (M3935-IESL), Colombo, Sri Lanka (2B+G+4 Typical Floor Commercial Building-Project Value: SLR 250 million)

Structural designing, detailing and supervision

1. From March,2012 to June 2015 working as Sr.Engineer at National Housing Development Authority, Head Office, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Involved in structural designing, detailing and supervision of apartment building (6 Nos. 4-5 storied buildings & G+1 Villas for Senior Public Service Officers ) (Different Projects, Total Value: SLR 1000 Million)

1. From May 2009 to Oct. 2011 worked as Project Manager for Desert Dream Real Estate & Investment in Dubai, UAE. The company is a leading property developer in Dubai especially for development of 3 Nos. 5-6 storied hotel apartments, office building and luxury G+1 Villas. (Different Projects, Value: AED 200 Million)

Dealing different stakeholders (Architect, Designer, Quantity Surveyor, Main Contractor, Package Contractors, legal regulatory bodies) from inception to delivery of project an effective manner in order to succeed the project objectives at required sustainable level within the pre-defined constraints and satisfaction of business objectives of client by optimizing the effects of risks during life cycle of the project.

1. From February 2005 to May 2009 working as Package Manager for Murray & Roberts Contractors (Middle East) at Dubai Airport expansion project (T3, Concourse 2 & Car Park) Initial contract value US$ 1 billion for finishes and fit out works. The final account reached to nearly US$ 2 billion. (Contract type-Re measurable)

Handled four different subcontract packages valued US$ 32.5 million. The main role is selection of right package contractors based on pre-qualification and bids from different contractors and issuing subcontract packages. As per contract, arranging site requirements, processing submittals for approval from client representatives, processing change order based on contract & shop dwgs, coordinating to get right scheduling as per master schedule, ensuring quality and safety requirements as per contract and creating an effective communication among package contractors to avoid rework (‘right first-time concept’).

1. From March 2004 to Feb 2005 worked as Site Manager for KDL Construction (Pvt) Ltd. Colombo Sri Lanka

Overall in-charge for the construction site of building of a portal framed warehouse and office building for a local investor at industrial zone in Homagama, SriLanka.

1. From March 2003 to March 2004 self employed by subcontracting the work (G+1 Villas and shopping complex) at Millennium City Athurugriya, SriLanka

1. From Feb 2002 to March 2003 worked as Civil Engineer for Al Buainain Transport Services & Contracting Est. State of Qatar. Supervising building of G+ 1 Villa for Qataris sponsored by Ministry of Housing, Qatar. Approx. value of a villa -US$ 250,000-300,000.

1. From Jan 2001 to Feb 2002 worked as Site Engineer for Industrial & Commercial Development (Pvt) Ltd. for development of turn-key project of warehouse and residential complex in Seeduwa, SriLanka for a foreign investor. The project value for the Phase 1, 1100 million LKR. Main role is supervising all site staff, subcontractors and supplier as per assigned work/contract for them under direction of Site Manager.
