Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for the full time faculty position in English Department for the academic year 2023-2024G. I have enclosed my information below for your kind discernment.
I have a master degree in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching (ELT) from the University of Dhaka. I also have a second Masters (MS) in English studies in Pre-PhD level. I have a professional degree in Bachelor in Education (B Ed).
I have been appointed as the Cambridge Examiner for IGCSE English as a Second Language since 2018. Further to that I am happy to inform you that I have been working as a senior English teacher for more than 24 years in home and abroad. I have been working as the Head of the Department of English in a reputed International School in Saudi Arabia since 2011.
The school is following Cambridge Curriculum since 1992 and there are students from 12 different nationalities studying here. I had been working as a Language Teacher for different Schools since August 2002 in the KSA where I worked as a material developer and facilitator of different training cycles for the new English teachers/FRESHERS (in the first year of my service for the Ministry of Education, Directorate of Al-Ula, Madina Region in the KSA).
Before teaching in the KSA, I have taught GCSE O and A levels English in Onnesha International School, Banani and Eton International School Dhanmondi Dhaka, Bangladesh for 3 Years. I have taught in tertiary level for more than three years and worked as The Principal in an English Medium High School(BIAM, Dhaka, up to 12 grades) and an Instructor for English for special purposes (ESP / EAP/ EFL/ESL) courses in BIAM Dhaka Divisional Language Lab. I have computer skills and I can speak and write Arabic other than English and Bangla.
So,I have come across the ethnographic milieus relate to the socio and psycholinguistic factors that affect the target group.
The instrumental and integrative goals to teach English at IGCSE Ordinary and Advanced Levels in your highly esteemed School would no more be secrets to me, therefore, I would like to be considered a candidate for the post of an English Teacher .
I would be proud to serve for the excellence of the institute. I am available for Interview from the 15th of July, 2023 onwards.
