PhD from NTU in Environmental Microbiology, M.Tech from IIT Roorkee in Nanobiotechnology
In my Ph.D. thesis project, I investigated the genomic features of urease producing bacterial strains and explored the bio-engineering methods to manipulate the enzyme activity of the bacteria. I worked on developing a single cell coating to modify the surface of ureolytic bacteria and studied the impact on microbially induced Calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP). Currently, I am writing two research papers associated with my Ph.D. thesis work, one is related to comparative genomics analysis of ureolytic bacteria and the other is based on single cell modification of ureolytic bacteria by polymer coating.
