As a current second-year Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Warwick, I have gained substantial expertise in conducting experiments encompassing diverse lab techniques including ELISA, gel electrophoresis, chromatography, and spectroscopy. I am actively seeking a laboratory-oriented position to further develop my skillset. I am also familiar with applications such as SPSS and Excel.
Before university, I worked at a vaccination centre as well as an outpatient pharmacy. At the vaccination centre as a healthcare assistant, I aided to facilitate the administration of Covid-19 vaccinations to up to 1500 patients a day, with my primary responsibilities including patient registration, as well as conducting thorough health screenings. At the outpatient pharmacy, I prepared and packaged pharmaceuticals for distribution to patients' homes during the Covid-19 pandemic. I also provided telephone support to patients seeking medication assistance. From these jobs I learnt the importance of efficiency, teamwork and communication.
I am a current Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Warwick. I have conducted research relating to Alzheimer's Disease, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, adrenal glands, and genetically modified crops. Having written numerous lab reports and essays, I am familiar with scientific writing, as well as utilizing applications such as Microsoft Excel and SPSS to generate scientific graphs and results.
