Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting the drawings and monitor production schedule.
- Preparing Work procedure, Inspection Test Plans, and getting approval from client.
- Liaising & obtaining technical clearance from client.
- Preparing fabrication documents of Manufacturer Data Record (MDR).
- Preparing weld map and necessary documents before start fabrication.
- Monitoring storage, handling and issuing of welding consumables.
- Verifying all inspection tools, Test equipment, Gauges etc are calibrated and all calibration certificates are currently valid.
- Conducting inspection of raw materials and review of Manufacturer Test Certificates (MTC), preparing documents and get the materials approved by Third party or Client.
- Witness material Identification, marking, transfer of heat numbers and hard punching.
- Witness WPS/PQR and WQT as per standards.
- Re-validation of Welder Qualification Test based on performance in accordance with the Code and
Project Specification requirements.
- Conduct Inspection on bevel preparation, fit up to ensure that the requirements of the WPS are meet,
verification preheating of material where required is in accordance with specified procedures.
- Conduct Dimensional Inspection before and after welding to ensure the require dimensions to meet the reference drawing.
- Supervision of NDT personnel including inspection of PT, MT,UT,RT and Post Weld Heat Treatment.
- Performing and record pre-weld, in progress, and post weld inspection.
- Check the welding consumables storage, backing and issue control and ensure continuity records for welders.
- Monitor welding procedure specifications (WPS), welding procedure Qualification records (PQR) as per code requirement.
- Check the welding parameters and all essential variables periodically.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Witness the FAT test, Load test, Torque inspection test, etc.
- Witnessing for Painting and Insulation as per Line class.
- Prepare QC Check list to ensure the fabricated items compliance with client requirements and submit
Manufacturer Data Record (MDR) documents.
- Preparation of Daily R.F.I, and all requisite reports for the entire inspection as per Inspection test plan.
- Coordination with various multi-disciplinary contractors and their quality control surveillance.
