I'm an artist who mainly works with drawings, illustrations and watercolor paintings. I believe art can act as a vessel and catalyst of change. I enjoy making art, and if the simple act of me doing what I enjoy can help people, that's fantastic.
Desnando Sarlim is a Chinese-Indonesian artist/illustrator currently based in Singapore. Watercolor paintings, pen doodles, and digital art are the most common illustration methods he uses. He’s graduating with a Diploma in Fine Art from LASALLE College of the Arts (2023). These are words that have been used to describe his artworks: cute, dreamy, imaginative, calming, delicate, controlled. His works have been exhibited in Fluid Spaces (2021) , Amber II Virtual Exhibition (2021), Compositing Negatives (2022) as a part of Singapore Art Week, and in Youth Photographers’ Mentorship Programme 2023 by Objectifs. He’s also volunteered in Singapore Art Week 2022 as an usher, and helped to paint a mural at Red Cross Campsite (2022).
