About

Having a diploma in accounting set a solid foundation in financial reporting, auditing and financial data analysis. I have strong interest and passion in the finance sector. However, I am open to gaining experiences in various sectors in the company to build on my existing portfolio.

I have honed my skills in excel, financial statement generation and reconciliations through my diploma. Additionally with an additional certificate in psychology I was able to learn about how it plays a part in the business setting in the form of HR and how some challenges can be overcome with the use of emotional tools. During my diploma, I was involved in an internship with CapitaLand Shared Services.

It gave me an opportunity to experience the professional setting for the first time. I was able to work with real life data to solve challenges that came up. It allowed me to practice the skills and utilize the knowledge that I had gained through my diploma.

I performed various accounting processes such as bank reconciliation, billing and invoicing using XERO and performing lease integration. In addition to gaining experiences in a formal setting, I have also worked with children in tuition centers that I have worked at. Students include children aged 4 - 10.

Working with children gave me the fulfilment that I was able to play a part in supporting their education, creativity and growth. Seeing them enjoy lessons and place trust on their teachers makes work meaningful and enjoyable. Lastly, I have also gained experiences working with migrant workers at NTUC MWC.

I was tasked to ensure migrant workers understand what they are signing up for in terms of insurance as well as to check in on their wellbeing. Talking to people on a daily basis allowed me to gain confidence and helped me improve my communication skills. Helping the workers feel heard and seen gave me a sense of satisfaction at the end of each day at work.

Having gained all these work experiences, I would love to continue exploring and honing my skills through the opportunities given to me. I believe that I would give any opportunity I get my 100% and enjoy the learning process that comes along with it.
