I am a motivated individual whose passion lies in science, particularly analytical chemistry. I have experience working independently with equipment such as HPLC, GC and MS. Additionally, I have had ample opportunities to conduct sample preparation for the various equipment on a daily basis during my working and intern experience.
During my time as a Food Analysis Technician Assistant, I managed to hone my basic laboratory skills and learnt how to independently conduct chemical sample preparations such as reflux and acid digestion for the food samples prior to testing. I was also responsible for the daily calibration of instrument such as the analytical balance and pipettes. I had the opportunity to independently run samples using the ICP-MS instrument and report the results to the analyst.
As a Formulation Development Intern, I had the valuable opportunity to run HPLC and GC instrument almost daily which allowed me to enhance my skills when working with those instrument. I also had several opportunities to learn basic troubleshooting for the HPLC instrument. Apart from those two instrument, I also worked with equipment such as the viscometer, density meter and Karl-Fishcer Titrator. I was also responsible for conducting the necessary calibration for those equipment.
I obtained my Diploma in Applied Chemistry (specialised in Industrial Chemistry) in 2020. I am currently a third year chemistry undergraduate at National University of Singapore
