Experience
Perform chemical testing on finished food products such as fat Gerber test, total solids, pH, acidity (titration).
Perform testing on complaint samples to find out what are the causes of non-compliance by customer and request investigations report from supplier.
Perform microbiology testing on finish products such as milk and soya by pour plate method.
Acquired microbiology skills such as basic microbiology aseptic technique, pipetting technique, pour plate technique, colony enumeration, streak plate technique.
Learn to prepare media for pour plate and streak plate testing.
Assist R&D department to perform microbiology testing on their shelf-life monitoring project.
Assist supervisor to conduct microbiology testing on complaint sample and follow up on the results immediately.
Monitor production and conduct testing on UHT milk, Soya and Juices.
Acquired knowledge about production process and GMP.
Perform and maintain lab housekeeping and discard expired retention sample monthly.
Liaise with JAKIM in renewal of halal certification for imported products e.g., carbonated drinks, Asian soft drinks and liaise with supplier to ensure application run smoothly.
Keep track of outdated documents such as Food Safety Certificate (FSC) and request supplier for renewed version.
Assist QC manager to write feedback to supplier if there’s any out of specification on the incoming testing.
Review certificate of analysis (COA) for every shipment to ensure that it complies with product specifications.
Perform plant pest control inspection based on roster.
Liaise with R&D department and supplier for new product evaluation.
Support internal audit for incoming raw material.
Liaised with various departments on first commercial release of new product.
Assist QC manager in document control to support production team to ensure all documents are up to date.
