I am Nicole Neo Rui En, a student at Republic Polytechnic currently waiting to graduate. I have taken Diploma in Business and I specialize in Sports Management.
Currently, I am taking a gap year to gain experience and consider my options. My interest lies in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. These are career paths that I find fulfilling as it involves helping patients to recover and regain their quality of life.
I am hardworking, responsible, creative, and empathetic; these I believe are core values and qualities that a Physiotherapist/ Therapist should have to provide the best service to patients and value add to the hospital.
During my Polytechnic Internship, I interned as an E-commerce staff for a company selling sporting goods. I picked up skills such as using Excel sheets and good customer service.
Additionally, I have taken up multiple part-time jobs during my holidays such as waitressing and working as a fashion sales associate. These jobs taught me how to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while still providing excellent customer service.
Lastly, in my Final Year Project, I was able to work with a primary school to coach the students in gaining new sports skills. I was able to work with students with ADHD which helped me to improve my patience. Moreover, my team and I were privileged enough to plan the sports clinic from start to finish which also taught me sports event management skills and adaptability.
