I am seeking a full-time position with an organization that will allow me to apply and enhance my skills that will enable my interacting skills for a good use. I intend to gain further experience that will allow me to take full advantage of my expertise to a greater height. I am currently working in Thermofisher Scientific as a Scientific Support Specialist in Microbiology laboratory.

Responsibilities and Duties

● Perform laboratory specific methods, as listed below, on raw materials or finished products,

• media making, special projects or specified testing as required.

● Set up and maintain bacteria culture and mammalian cell culture based on available

SOP/protocols

● Perform various microbiology, cell-based and biochemical/ molecular biology assays for various projects which may include and not limited to the following techniques:

• Maintaining and culturing different microorganisms
• Anti-microbial assays like MIC/MBC following SOPs or protocols
• Gel electrophoresis
• Cell viability testing with spectrophotometric measurement
• Extraction of biomolecules for further biological and bio-analytical testing
• Complete documentation through data recording and/or electronic notebook to ensure timely submission of test results

● Support researchers and scientists in validation studies of the above experiments according to GMP requirements

● Perform routine lab housekeeping which include the following:

• Conducting Safety audits monthly
• Perform pH meter maintenance, autoclaving of items and agar making when needed
• Daily laboratory inventory management (chemical reagents – poison or non-poison items, beauty testing products – shampoo, body soap, creams and laboratory supplies needed)
• To providing timely communication of purchase cycle, obtain quotes for review,

following-up on deliveries and timely submission of delivery document

• Waste management and disposal when needed and/or every Friday
• Administrative duties including updating inventory, equipment database and order tracking sheets

● Perform basic equipment maintenance which may include:

• Equipment checks if Engineer needed to come down onsite – liase with vendor for RA and lab visits for their entry to site
• Equipment calibration and repair coordination
• Maintain equipment records and or logbooks to ensure required laboratory safety and quality standard is maintained at all times

● Perform R&D studies with Supervisor (Beauty care)

• Assist in creation, routing and maintaining of technical standards document
• Assist in creation of test protocols and coordinate with lab to place the products.
• Assist in creation of registration documentations
• Provide support for import/export of product samples
• Assist in design, analyze, implement, and report findings on targeted clinical and non-clinical statistical studies and research, ensuring appropriate regulatory requirements and study objectives defined in the study protocol are followed
• Assist in the preparation of clinical trial documents and reports, protocols,

investigator brochures or scientific abstracts.
