Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems. As part of our Data team, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals. 💻 What you’ll be doing

• Design and implement data pipelines to pull raw data from different sources to our data warehouse for further analysis
• Create services for batch and stream data collections
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Explore ways to apply data wrangling to enhance data quality and reliability
• Build a strong understanding of our product data architecture to maintain and improve existing pipelines for better efficiency
• Work with relevant teams to design data models for data collection of new features and products required for both backend functionality and downstream analytics
• Write queries to analyze and visualize data for use-cases required by stakeholders to provide actionable insights as well as to track our products’ business performance metrics

🚩Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, engineering, or a related field
• At least 1-2 years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
• Have basic understanding of data models, data wrangling, and data mining
• Hands-on experience with SQL and no-SQL database designs and queries
• Knowledge and proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python)
• Strong cross-functional team communication skills
• Proficient in English

• Familiarity with big data processing tools (e.g. Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop)
• Worked with event streaming data processing tools or messaging queues (e.g. Google Pub/Sub, Apache Kafka)
