Security Engineer

We are looking for a Security Engineer to design and implement robust security controls for our banking platforms. This role involves working closely with cross-functional squads to ensure secure application and infrastructure development, aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Controls Architecture Implementation

Design and implement program-level security controls architecture.

Identify existing bank security tools (e.g., DDoS protection, Key Management tools) and assess the need for new tools.

Develop and integrate security controls within the program architecture to mitigate vulnerabilities and strengthen overall security.

• Security Squad-Level Implementation Support

Collaborate with development squads to provide engineering expertise during security threat modeling at squad journey levels.

Promote secure coding practices and integrate security best practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Assist in remediation of vulnerabilities discovered during testing, analyze threats, and propose effective solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of Security Principles, including identity & access management, data security, cryptography, code security, and infrastructure protection.
• Proven experience in banking security architecture for major retail digital banking platforms and addressing emerging threats with appropriate controls.
• Familiarity with Security Frameworks and Standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP, and knowledge of banking regulations impacting application security.
• Solid knowledge of Network and Infrastructure Security, including network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and other protective measures.
• Hands-on engineering experience in implementing security controls architecture and supporting secure development practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional squads.
