I am a freelance journalist and editorial consultant. I write a monthly column for Arabian Gulf Business on the Middle East’s media, marketing and advertising industry. I edited Campaign Middle East for seven years, after being supplements editor of Middle East Economic Digest (MEED) and managing editor of Communicate magazine.

I am an editorial generalist with a focus on business and expertise in the commercial communications and creativity sectors.

I have taught sub-editing to college students and am experienced in editing, mentoring and coaching journalists for whom English is a second language.

I have hosted podcasts, moderated debates and compered awards shows, as well as presenting numerous live industry events.

I am originally from Scotland, lived in Dubai for 18 years and currently live with my wife in Bangkok.
