I started working as an English Teacher in Taiwan in 2017. After several years of practicing teaching younger groups, I began teaching classes focusing on reading comprehension and writing skills.
Eventually, I was invited to teach a preparatory course for an ACT examination. The exam covered English, Math, Science, and Writing for pre-College students. Since 2019, My students saw improvements, but COVID shuttered the majority of interest in US and Canadian universities.
So, the classes which survived were primarily geared for late elementary and early middle school students who were looking to excel on government exams. For the last few years, my work has focused on writing and reading comprehension ESL classes for intermediate level learners.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2016, with a focus on Cross-Cultural Psychology, as well as an elective in Marketing. I'm knowledgeable with academic writing, as well as SPSS and statistical analysis. Following the completion of my university studies, I received a 100-hour TESOL certificate from Oxford Seminars and have been developing my career as a language instructor since then.
