RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Algorithm Software Engineer in Plano, TX.

Summary

Our client is seeking an Algorithm Software Engineer to design and implement advanced algorithms supporting radar systems and defense applications. This role focuses on translating theoretical algorithms into high-performance, production-ready software.

Key Tasks

Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for signal processing, control systems, or data analysis

Translate algorithm requirements into efficient, maintainable software

Collaborate with systems engineers to validate real-world performance

Perform testing, debugging, and documentation to meet industry and program standards

Support integration into embedded and real-time environments

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline

5-10 years of algorithm development or applied software engineering experience

Strong programming skills in C or similar languages

Experience validating algorithms against real-world constraints

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Preferred Qualifications

Radar or sensor-based system experience

Familiarity with real-time or embedded systems

Experience working in regulated or classified environments

Strong mathematical or signal processing background The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
