Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software/Algorithm Engineer to support the development of advanced sensor fusion, perception, and autonomous systems. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement sophisticated algorithms that enable real-time decision-making, multi-sensor integration, and next-generation autonomous capabilities.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in algorithm development, software engineering, and sensor-based systems, with experience developing high-performance software for complex engineering applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced software algorithms supporting sensor fusion and autonomous systems.
- Participate in requirements analysis, software architecture, algorithm development, code implementation, testing, and system integration.
- Develop high-quality software using modern programming languages for real-time and embedded applications.
- Build and evaluate algorithms using high-fidelity simulation and modeling tools.
- Support the integration of new technologies, sensors, and advanced capabilities into existing and future software solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful system integration and performance.
- Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and software verification activities.
- Develop reusable software components that support scalable, next-generation platforms.
- Contribute to Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot software performance issues and optimize algorithms for efficiency and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or another STEM-related discipline.
- Extensive professional experience developing software using C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience developing algorithms for sensor-based, autonomous, or advanced signal processing applications.
- Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded software development.
- Experience using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools for simulation, modeling, and algorithm prototyping.
- Experience working within an Agile software development environment.
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance with a current investigation or continuous evaluation enrollment (required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sensor fusion, state estimation, target tracking, navigation, perception, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or control systems.
- Experience developing software for RF, infrared (IR), or other advanced sensing technologies.
- Strong background in mathematical modeling, data analysis, and simulation.
- Experience integrating complex algorithms into operational software systems.
- Familiarity with configuration management and software integration processes.
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, autonomous systems, or other highly regulated industries.
