Job Description

We are seeking an experienced API Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Python and AWS to design, develop, and deliver scalable, reliable, and secure API solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of API development best practices, cloud-native design patterns, and modern software engineering standards.

The successful candidate will have experience developing reusable frameworks and well-structured services that are maintainable, extensible, and production-ready. A product-oriented mindset is important, with the ability to design technical solutions that address business needs, improve developer experience, and support long-term platform growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Develop Python-based services and applications within AWS environments.
• Own API design and development through delivery and production support.
• Implement secure and scalable integration patterns.
• Build reusable components, frameworks, and services.
• Design cloud-native solutions using serverless and containerized architectures.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to define technical solutions.
• Make and own technical and architectural decisions.
• Support development, testing, deployment readiness, and post-implementation activities.
• Ensure solutions meet quality, performance, security, reliability, and operational standards.
• Follow modern API development and software engineering best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD practices and automated delivery processes.
• Implement observability and monitoring for production services.
• Work effectively in an Agile delivery environment.

Required / Preferred Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Extensive experience with API development.
• RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud experience.
• AWS API Gateway.
• AWS Lambda.
• Serverless and/or containerized architectures.
• Cloud-native application design patterns.
• CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines.
• API security and integration best practices.
• Application observability, monitoring, and operational support.
• Reusable framework and component development.
• Agile software development methodologies.
