Application Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- We require a bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline.

• We prefer a masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• We require seven or more years of software development experience.
• We prefer three or more years of experience in Transportation Management and/or Distribution Management Technology.
• We look for strong verbal and written communication skills.
• We value the ability to gather information, spot patterns, interpret data, and solve problems through sound judgment.
• We need proficiency in programming languages, including the ability to debug and test code.
• We seek someone who is comfortable working through ambiguous, unstructured, or uncertain situations.
• We want a high level of initiative and the ability to document and maintain technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

- We design and build enterprise-level software applications.

• We maintain existing software and recommend improvements to strengthen performance and optimization.
• We test applications using unit, integration, system, and smoke testing before handing builds to QA.
• We support defect resolution arising from user testing and QA testing.
• We provide 24x7 on-call support for Severity 1 issues and manage SLAs for Severity 2 and 3 tickets.
• We partner with the Product Owner to refine backlogs and deliver needed capabilities.
• We create, document, and maintain technical specifications and design materials, including solution diagrams, flowcharts, checklists, migration plans, and core documentation.
• We deliver thorough support to internal customers and teammates to resolve open problems and issues.
• We monitor application health by setting up dashboards and alerts.
• We perform other duties as assigned.

This salaried Application Developer IV role sits within our Application Development, Delivery & Support team, with travel expected at 1–10%. The position offers a compensation range of $90,000 to $100,000 and may be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan depending on the role level and type.
