Job Summary:

CommandTec, LLC has a requirement for a Senior Application Developer supporting a federal government customer.

The Application

Developer – Senior leads the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise applications and software solutions. This position provides technical leadership, mentors junior developers, and collaborates with technical leads and stakeholders to implement enhancements, resolve complex issues, and support application sustainment activities.

The Senior Application

Developer drives development efforts while applying advanced knowledge of enterprise technologies, software development lifecycle processes, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications and software solutions
• Lead application development efforts and provide technical guidance to junior developers
• Develop and maintain software using .NET, Java, and other approved development technologies
• Design and implement database solutions using SQL, MySQL, or other relational databases
• Analyze system requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions
• Support full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and UI developers
• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Implement application security controls and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements in accordance with federal and organizational standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and system issues
• Support DevOps processes including CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and system architecture diagrams
• Support cloud-based application deployments in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Support integration with enterprise systems and third-party applications
• Maintain and enhance existing applications and legacy systems
• Support configuration management and version control using GitLab or similar tools
• Assist with system testing including functional, integration, and performance testing
• Support IIS, Linux, and web server environments
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned
