Associate Application Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- We are seeking a candidate with 2–5 years of professional experience in software and/or web development.

• We need experience with several of the following technologies: Next.js, Tailwind, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Visual Basic, JSON, and relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Postgres.
• We are looking for a solid understanding of full-stack web application architecture.
• We require experience with version control tools such as Git or GitHub, along with familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.
• We expect experience working with REST APIs and client-server concepts.
• We value strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
• We need someone who communicates clearly and collaborates effectively in a team setting.
• We require comfort working with non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• We expect the ability to follow all GMP requirements.
• Nice to have: experience with Claris FileMaker software.
• Nice to have: experience learning, supporting, and extending complex legacy systems.
• Nice to have: exposure to database design and optimization principles.
• Nice to have: experience using AI in software development workflows, such as UI creation, scripting, or documentation.
• Nice to have: exposure to manufacturing processes, MES/ERP concepts, and related operational workflows.
• Nice to have: interest in scalability, performance tuning, and system reliability.

Responsibilities:

- We support and improve existing components in our FileMaker-based MES, including layouts, scripts, calculations, and data relationships under the direction of senior developers.

• We design, build, and maintain new modern full-stack web applications across the front end, integrations, and data layers.
• We contribute to architecture discussions to help ensure scalability, strong performance, and long-term maintainability.
• We create clean, reusable, and well-documented code components.
• We help establish, follow, and reinforce development standards and best practices.
• We assist with implementation activities such as launch checklists, testing plans, and user training.
• We follow our version control standards and software development lifecycle processes.
• We document application updates and technical workflows.
• We support the evaluation and rollout of software upgrades.
• We respond to user-reported issues, replicate problems, and implement fixes with a focus on root-cause resolution.
• We partner with senior developers, IT Operations, and business stakeholders to understand operational context and business needs.
• We identify opportunities for software improvements and carry out approved enhancements.
• We continuously expand our skills by learning new tools, frameworks, and best practices.
