Responsibilities:
- We design, architect, and develop simulation models, virtual environments, platforms, and supporting frameworks to improve software test performance and resilience across the full product lifecycle.
- We collaborate with stakeholders to review and define simulation requirements and the behavior of the systems being modeled.
- We collect and process data for use in simulations.
- We validate, verify, and refine simulation code, models, test procedures, and test environments, including executing tests, documenting results, and comparing outputs against real-world data and benchmarks.
- We document and maintain technical code, algorithms, specifications, and descriptions of simulation models.
- We work with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate simulation software with hardware devices and systems.
- We implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in our software engineering simulation environment.
- We modernize, migrate, sustain, and update simulation software so legacy systems can run on newer operating systems.
- We contribute to simulation software project management activities.
- We design, implement, integrate, and test real-time human-in-the-loop aircraft system and display models, along with related tools and utilities.
- We clarify requirements and timelines with users, participate in technical design reviews and peer code reviews, follow coding standards, and seek mentorship from senior engineers.
- We develop software within a coordinated agile team and test changes daily in multiple simulation environments, including desktop development and full mission trainer systems.
