Senior Backend Engineer (Python/AWS)
Location: Plano, TX - Onsite
Position Summary
Seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python, API Development, and AWS Cloud to build scalable, secure, cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with microservices, serverless architectures, containers, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and AWS services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Python (FastAPI/Flask).
- Build cloud-native and serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on ECS/Fargate and EKS/Kubernetes.
- Implement event-driven architectures using SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
- Design and optimize data solutions using RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redis/ElastiCache.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or AWS DevOps tools.
- Implement monitoring, logging, security, and reliability best practices using CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, and OpenTelemetry.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentor junior engineers.
