About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. In this foundational role, you will own critical segments of the platform infrastructure that support autonomous AI agents.

Your work will involve designing and building high-throughput data pipelines and services that facilitate real-time decision-making at scale. You will be instrumental in developing a unified product stack that replaces traditional sales tools, including email infrastructure, CRM integrations, lead databases, and campaign engines.

This role requires end-to-end ownership of features, from initial design and development to deployment and ongoing monitoring. You will operate in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes rapid iteration and continuous delivery, ensuring system stability while maintaining high velocity. As a technical leader, you will contribute to the company's technical roadmap, mentor peers, and uphold high standards for reliability, observability, and testing across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably within a high-growth startup environment
• Proficiency in building and operating data-intensive services at scale
• Strong experience with TypeScript/Node.js; proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages is acceptable
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, database performance, and API design
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, including containers, orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS), CI/CD, and monitoring tools
• Experience leveraging modern AI coding tools and workflows
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Familiarity with or interest in working with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Mastra, Temporal, Langfuse, and AWS

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-throughput pipelines and services enabling autonomous agents to process large volumes of data in real-time
• Own significant portions of the platform infrastructure, including email systems, CRM integrations, lead databases, and campaign engines
• Take full ownership of features throughout their lifecycle—from architecture and development to deployment and monitoring
• Ship code continuously in a fast-paced environment, balancing velocity with system stability
• Contribute to the technical roadmap, mentor team members, and uphold high standards for system reliability and observability
• Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of backend systems
• Implement best practices in API design, database optimization, and distributed system architecture
