Cache Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• We prefer InterSystems Cache/IRIS certification.
• We need proven development experience with MUMPS, Cache, or InterSystems ObjectScript.
• We look for strong knowledge of database administration, data modeling, and performance tuning in a Cache/MUMPS setting.
• We require familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7, ICD, and CPT.
• We value excellent analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
• We need clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across technical and non-technical groups.
• We require experience building software applications for the healthcare sector.
• We prefer familiarity with EHR platforms such as Epic, VistA, or RPMS.
• We look for knowledge of web technologies, including HTML and JavaScript.
• We value experience with client-server systems and event-driven programming.
• We prefer experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities:

- We design, build, deploy, and support new software features and applications.

• We produce clean, testable, and efficient code using Cache, Cache ObjectScript, and MUMPS.
• We modernize legacy MUMPS code by converting it into class-based InterSystems ObjectScript.
• We develop and implement ETL workflows for healthcare data environments.
• We administer and support both development and production systems.
• We collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define and refine requirements.
• We create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
• We troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system defects and operational issues.
• We assist with database consolidation and updates to user interfaces and reporting.
• We contribute to modernizing applications, including moving older screens to web-based interfaces.
• We provide technical guidance and oversight for a development project while helping lead cross-functional teams.
• We work within an Agile team to deliver high-quality, high-performance, resilient solutions.
• We help design, develop, and maintain complex systems with a focus on quality, speed, and reliability.
