Database Applications Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- Over 5 years of experience in SQL Server development - At least 1 year of experience with Python scripting - More than 5 years of experience in data modeling - Over 5 years of ETL expertise - More than 5 years of experience with diverse database systems such as SQL Server, Teradata, and Oracle - At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Snowflake - In-depth knowledge of data warehousing principles - Experience in data model creation using ERWIN

Responsibilities:

- Acquire and ingest data by identifying and integrating data sources with ETL tools like SSIS and Alteryx - Work with datasets from various databases such as SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop/Hive, PostgreSQL, Oracle, flat files, Google Cloud Platform, and Snowflake - Enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality through advanced solutions - Automate workflows for timely data delivery - Establish frameworks, standards, and guidelines for data architecture, including modeling, metadata, security, and reference data - Develop and refine data models to align with business applications - Review and improve existing data systems for better compatibility and performance - Address the data requirements of multiple teams, systems, and products

We are currently seeking a Database Applications Developer IV to join our Data Platform Management team on a long-term contract basis. This role is crucial in enhancing and optimizing our data architecture and pipelines to support cross-functional teams. We operate primarily in Alpharetta, GA, with a hybrid option available in Irving, TX.
