Software Database Engineer 1 (SQL Performance Testing) – Contract

Redmond, WA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)

Feb 16, 2026 – June 30, 2026 (Extension Possible)

Contract | 40 hrs/week

We are looking for a Software Database Engineer 1 to support a SQL performance engineering team working on SQL performance benchmarking, regression testing, diagnostics, and automation scripting.

This role focuses on validating SQL performance on new hardware platforms and new software releases.

Key Responsibilities

Run SQL performance tests and benchmarks

Identify performance regressions and analyze results

Generate performance reports and share findings

Troubleshoot SQL performance issues with engineering teams

Automation scripting using PowerShell / C / C#

Participate in daily scrum calls

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Mandatory)

0–2 years of experience

SQL / SQL Server fundamentals

Scripting/Programming:

PowerShell / C / C#

Windows OS experience

Strong problem-solving + communication
