Job Title DevSecOps Engineer Locations Annapolis Junction MD Salary Range 220k 275kyr Clearance Requirements A TSSCI with Poly Clearance is required at the time of application What you will be doing We are seeking an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the design implementation automation and security of cloud based infrastructure and applications The ideal candidate will have strong hands on experience with AWS infrastructure as code containerization Kubernetes and CICD automation This individual will work closely with software developers cloud engineers security teams and other technical stakeholders to build and maintain scalable secure and reliable environments The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will also help drive automation and security best practices throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle Design implement and maintain secure scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure in AWSDevelop and manage Infrastructure as Code IaC using Terraform andor OpenTofuBuild maintain and enhance CICD pipelines to automate application builds testing security scanning and deploymentsDeploy configure and manage containerized applications using Docker and KubernetesDevelop and maintain Helm charts and deployment configurations for Kubernetes environmentsIntegrate security practices and tools throughout the development and deployment lifecycleIdentify opportunities to improve automation reliability security and operational efficiencySupport AWS cloud architecture engineering administration and security effortsTroubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure application deployment and security issuesImplement and maintain monitoring logging and alerting capabilities across cloud and containerized environmentsWork closely with development and security teams to promote DevSecOps best practices and a secure by design approachProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid level engineersDevelop and maintain technical documentation architecture diagrams deployment procedures and operational processesEvaluate new technologies and tools to improve infrastructure automation security and deployment capabilitiesPosition Requirements Minimum Requirements Experience Extensive experience in DevOps DevSecOps Cloud Engineering or a similar technical roleStrong hands on experience designing deploying and supporting AWS cloud environmentsExperience with AWS cloud architecture engineering and security best practicesStrong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform andor OpenTofuExperience designing and maintaining CICD pipelines and deployment automationStrong hands on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestrationExperience building and managing containerized applications using DockerExperience creating and managing Kubernetes deployments using HelmStrong Linux system administration and troubleshooting experienceExperience integrating security into CICD pipelines and cloud environmentsExperience troubleshooting complex infrastructure application networking and deployment issuesStrong understanding of cloud security principles access management networking and secure infrastructure designAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross functional technical teamsStrong problem solving communication and documentation skillsPreferred Qualifications Experience supporting AWS environments within large complex or highly regulated organizationsExperience implementing DevSecOps practices in a government federal or enterprise environmentExperience with automated security scanning vulnerability management and compliance automationFamiliarity with GitOps practices and modern deployment methodologiesExperience with monitoring logging and observability toolsAWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect AWS DevOps Engineer or AWS Security SpecialtyExperience with WANDS is highly desiredExperience working in Agile development environmentsEducation A Bachelors Degree from an accredited universityCertifications Desirable AWS Microsoft Azure Microsoft 365Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands on senior engineer who is comfortable working across cloud infrastructure automation containers CICD and security They should be able to troubleshoot complex technical issues recommend improvements and help guide technical decisions while remaining actively involved in engineering and implementation Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role;
