About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mobile Engineer to join our team at Herbalife. This role is designed for a forward-thinking professional who excels at transforming ambiguous ideas into validated, high-impact mobile solutions. As a Mobile Engineer, you will operate beyond traditional feature implementation, focusing on building and scaling next-generation mobile experiences.

You will work at the intersection of product discovery, platform evolution, and technical experimentation, applying deep mobile expertise to influence both strategy and execution. Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of five years of professional mobile development experience, with a proven track record across exploration and scaled delivery projects. Expertise in native mobile development using Swift/SwiftUI for iOS and Kotlin for Android is essential, along with experience in cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter. Candidates should have a solid understanding of mobile application architecture, design patterns like MVVM or Clean Architecture, and API integration.

Familiarity with mobile networking, data synchronization, and lifecycle management is required, as well as experience optimizing app performance and security. Strong problem-framing skills, systems thinking, and a curious, experimental mindset are critical.

Experience in building prototypes, proof-of-concept applications, and working with evolving requirements will be highly valued. Candidates should be comfortable with mobile analytics tools such as Firebase and Crashlytics, feature flagging, and experimentation platforms. Knowledge of app store submission processes, emerging mobile technologies like AR and AI-enabled UX, and familiarity with cloud platforms for backend support are also important.

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field is required; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams, including product, data, and business units, to define and frame problems beyond simple requirement implementation.
• Translate loosely defined ideas into hypotheses, experiments, and technical prototypes to validate concepts and feasibility.
• Lead or contribute to discovery sprints, feasibility studies, and technical spikes, challenging assumptions and proposing innovative mobile architectures or experiences.
• Build rapid prototypes—both throwaway and evolutionary—to test user value and technical feasibility, instrumented with analytics for measurement.
• Conduct controlled experiments such as A/B tests, feature flags, and pilots to validate hypotheses and inform decision-making.
• Make strategic tradeoffs between speed, quality, scalability, and learning, ensuring rapid iteration without compromising long-term platform stability.
• Design and influence mobile architecture decisions, SDKs, frameworks, and integration patterns, balancing innovation with maintainability.
• Write clean, efficient, and secure mobile code aligned with platform guidelines, optimizing performance across memory, battery, and responsiveness.
• Implement security best practices, including authentication, encryption, and data protection, to safeguard user information.
• Collaborate closely with UX, backend, and data teams to develop cohesive, high-quality solutions that meet user needs.
• Provide mentorship and architectural guidance to mobile engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Communicate complex technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders, influencing product and platform strategies.
• Advise on mobile DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
• Support the transition of validated concepts into scaled delivery, documenting architecture, experiments, and technical decisions for future reference.
