DescriptionThe Imaging group within OSG Technology is responsible for the electronic storage of legal books and records on SEC compliant media.
This distributed application provides web-based storage and retrieval services that support workflow processing and historical research. We are currently seeking a Java/UI Developer to collaborate on business initiatives working on all components of this distributed system.
The Full Stack Developer should be a technical problem solver with strong development skills and the ability to work in an Agile team environment as well as individually.
You will work independently or with little mentorship on small projects and partners or assist on larger initiatives. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented teammate who has an understanding of how systems applications can provide solutions to business problems and objectives.
You will also make design recommendations and take lead in detailing systems designs/specifications.
Work with Agile Scrum team to understand project objectives, use cases and requirements
Work with a team of analysts, developers and testers to ensure all understand the systems design requirements.
Follow documentation standards and standard methodologies.
Assist in the preparation and execution of system integration testing
Furthers teamwork and spirit of collaboration and dedication within the project team
Assist in implementation planning to transition software changes into the Production Environment.
Bachelors degree or 6-9 years of related experience, ideally within a technology environment
Experience following formal documentation processes
Experience with Project Life Cycle Methodologies Agile Preferred
Experience working with development teams distributed across multiple sites
Development experience with strong working knowledge of Java required
Experience in JAVA Batch Application development.
Experience with developing/consuming SOAP/Restful web services is required
Experience in front-end UI technologies (AngularJS/Angular5) is preferred
Experience in Cloud technology a plus.
Exposure to Agile development methodology is required
Knowledge of object-oriented design and analysis is required
Knowledge Oracle DB Stored Procedure development is a plus.
Experience building and managing applications using Eclipse, SCM, and deployment tools (git stash, Jenkins and uDeploy); and integrating the build with CI and CD processes using Jenkins as a CI platform is a plus
Ability to communicate optimally with various levels of management
